Q: Do you have a herd share program to get raw milk?

A: Sorry we do not offer a herd share program.

Q: Do you use anitbiotic for the cows or organic feed. Basically are any pesticeds involved anywhere?

A: We do very sparingly use antibiotics for our cows if they are sick or get mastitis. Milk from treated cows is ALWAYS discarded. We only grow non GMO feed and we do not use pesticides.

Q: I use an instant pot to make yogurt, do you know if I would need to take the cream off first? Or would I just need to shake it up prior to making the yogurt? Thank you!

A: Good morning! You should just shake the cream into the milk prior to pouring it into your instant pot. It is so much better than store bought yogurt! Enjoy:)

Q: Are the cows 100% grass fed?

A: A majority of our cow's diet is made up of forages with only a small percent of their diet being grain to meet their energy demands. Our cows even have their own nutritionist who balances their daily ration to make sure all of their requirements are met!

Q: Are your cows raised on pasture?

A: Yes, our cows are raised on pasture and that is where they prefer to spend their time, but they do have a barn to go in and out of in inclement weather.

Q: Do you have 1 percent?

A: We do not sell 1% milk - only whole milk at this time.

Q: What is the difference between grocery store milk and this? Does it have Vitamins? Thank you!

A: Great question, unlike milk in the grocery store our milk is minimally processed, it is not homogenized (cream still rises to the top), no cream is taken out, and nothing is added to the milk. Our milk is packed with all the naturally occurring vitamins (and minerals) that makes milk such a healthy drink (B vitamins, A, D, E, K, etc.) - our milk has no added vitamins though, whereas many big milk companies add extra vitamin D.

Q: How is it delivered?

A: Our milk is transported to the Market Wagon location by our refrigerated truck and then deposited into the delivery bags for customer pick up. Sorry it took me so long to answer your question!

Q: It's more of a comment-This milk taste really good, and made good yogurt but do not use it for making butter. I make butter all the time and I churned this for over 30 mins and it never got thick. I just made it into yogurt.

A: Thank you for your comment - I'm glad you are enjoying our milk! I'm not sure why you had trouble trying to make butter with it. I have never had a problem getting the cream to thicken. I would suggest using a turkey baster to remove the cream and letting it come to room temperature before churning. I hope that helps!

Q: Do you want the bottle back, or should I just recycle it?

A: Thank you for your question! These bottles are not meant to be re-used....please just recycle them. We appreciate your business:)

Q: What is the shelf life for your milk?

A: Follow the "best by" sticker on each jug. As with most perishable products it should last a few days after the date on the sticker.

Q: Hi, the milk is wonderful for drinking, does the pasteurization inhibit yogurt or cheesemaking? Love to drink it! Glad it is a Logan County product!

A: We are glad to hear that you like it! Our milk works wonderful for making cheese and yogurt, we have a couple customers that are using it for just that. Thanks for the question and feedback!

Q: Does this milk still have the cream or fat with it, I want the stuff that seperates with the cream on top that you have to shake up, like we had back in the old days.

A: Yes that is exactly what our milk is! A visible cream layer will rise to the top and needs to be shaken in.

Q: Is this safe for kids under two to drink?

A: Yes it's totally safe! It has been pasteurized to kill any possible bacteria it has not been homogenized or had anything added or taken away from it, just milk as it should be. We've had great feedback from parents of young children who can't get enough of our fresh milk!

format_quoteSo yummy! My kids loved this milk and drank half the jug within an hour of getting it home. Also did a blind taste test with my husband and he chose Indian creek over store bought easily. Said it tasted so fresh.format_quote
